Currently, there are more than 5.5 million people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa, according to AVERT. Of those, black South Africans comprise 77% of the people living with AIDS and KwaZulu-Natal has the highest prevalance rates in the country.  HIV/AIDS is impacting on our nation's health, economy and social welfare.

HIV testing is free.  Click here to use the Karobo website, which provides a searchable map and detailed information about testing centres in your area.
New Start is a professional HIV counseling and testing service with offices in all major cities. There is a small charge for testing but no appointment is necessary and offices are open 08:00 to 18:00 weekdays and 08:00 to 14:00 Saturdays. They also offer a mobile testing service.
